The STEM for Social Good Challenge is aimed at supporting girls and young leaders from around the world. Eligibility varies based on the program that is offered.

The HackerEarth challenge is free to enter and open to participants worldwide, regardless of age, experience, or qualifications, as long as they submit impactful solutions aligned with the program’s environmental themes.

Eligible participants must submit original, English-language video entries under two minutes via YouTube and review at least five peer submissions; group entries, business entities, and individuals affiliated with the competition sponsor or subject to U.S. sanctions are not eligible.

The contest is open to legal U.S. residents who are full-time educators in public schools teaching grades 6–12, including charter schools that are at least 50% publicly funded. Private school, homeschool, and college-level educators, as well as employees or close relatives of the contest organizers, are not eligible. Entrants must remain employed at the same school throughout the contest period, and only one application per educator is allowed—multiple entries will lead to disqualification.

Students with disabilities pursuing computer science, computer engineering, or related fields. Eligibility varies based on each google lime scholarship.

The GREEN Program is available for participants from diverse and underserved backgrounds such as BIPOC, first-generation students, women in STEM, LGBTQIA2S+, and those with financial need. Applications are reviewed based on financial hardship and the strength of the applicant's essay.

ELP serves diverse environmental leaders through three programs: Regional and National Fellowships for leadership development, the RAY Fellowship for recent grads from underrepresented backgrounds entering climate careers, and the DDCSP Alumni Network for continued growth among Doris Duke Conservation Scholars.

The L'Oréal USA For Women in Science program is open to U.S. citizens or permanent residents who hold a Ph.D., D.P.H., or Sc.D. and are in full-time postdoctoral positions at U.S.-based institutions by January 31, 2025. Applicants must not hold faculty positions and must be available for the Awards Week in November. Eligible disciplines include life sciences, physical sciences, engineering, technology, computer science, and mathematics, and awardees must commit to at least 20 hours of outreach supporting women and girls in science.

The Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship Program is open to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or citizens of U.S. territories enrolled in accredited U.S. institutions pursuing advanced degrees in oceanography, marine biology, or maritime archaeology, including related coastal disciplines. Students at any stage of their master’s or Ph.D. studies may apply, though those in their final year are discouraged. Applications must include exactly two letters of recommendation and be submitted via Grants.gov, with all materials properly formatted and uploaded by the stated deadline.
