The Challenge is open to U.S. middle and high school students who may participate individually or in teams of 2–8 students with an adult coach aged 18 or older. Teams and coaches must be affiliated with a recognized school or organization. Coaches can advise multiple teams, but students may only join one.

The Student Energy Global Youth Energy Summit (SES 2025) is open to young leaders from around the world who are passionate about sustainable energy and climate action. Participants should demonstrate leadership potential, a commitment to driving change in their communities, and an interest in energy transition solutions.

The ConnectHER Film Festival’s Women and Environment Award is open to filmmakers who create original short films (3–6 minutes) addressing issues that impact women and girls, with a focus on environmental themes.

Students may enter this challenge individually or in teams, with one member designated as the main contact and an adult sponsor required. Entries must be original, submitted in English or with translation, and free of AI-generated content, with only one submission allowed per category per student.

Eligible startups must be in the prototype or pilot stage, based outside the U.S. with no significant U.S. presence, and have raised less than $3 million in equity and earned under $5 million in annual revenue. All applications and presentations must be submitted in English

To be eligible for the MIT Solve Solver Award, applicants must submit a tech-based solution that addresses one of MIT Solve’s Global Challenges, which span areas like climate, health, learning, economic prosperity, and Indigenous communities.

The World Habitat Awards are open to individuals and organizations worldwide working on innovative housing projects that are either in progress or completed within the last ten years. Entries must be submitted online in English, French, or Spanish by March 3, 2025, and cannot be grant applications or planned future work; only implemented projects demonstrating impact are eligible.

Eligibility for the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) is open to students who are 15 years old or younger as of December 31 of the competition year. Participants must be selected through a national effort and represent their country, with no exclusions based on political or diplomatic issues.
